"My name is Tamekha McLean. I am the mother of Nicholas McLean. Nicholas was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his left calf. He began chemotherapy treatment in February 2023, followed by an amputation in June then more chemotherapy there after. I thank God for bring us thus far.
About a week and a half ago a member of Nicholas' medical team at UCLH called to inform us about Kene Madueke Foundation because since Nick's diagnosis, things have been financially difficult for our family. I must extent my sincere thanks to this foundation for assisting us, with such a timely and tangible donation so quickly. In a matter of days they blessed us an ASDA Shopping Card which would significantly aid us with acquiring basic essentials.
I pray that persons would continue to contribute by way of donations to such a worthy cause. We all need help from time to time. Thank you Kene Madueke Foundation".
Hi I’m Sarah. My daughter Eleanor (18) was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in October 2024. This was following a year of being poorly & knowing something was wrong. So when we received that shocking news life changed immediately. Eleanor had Chemotherapy treatment at University College London Hospital ( UCLH) who were amazing.
Being self employed myself & not earning during this period of time also added to our stress & worries.
Eleanor was determined once treatment had finished that she would complete her A levels, one of these being A level combined English. As she had missed. Several months of school she would need additional help to support her. Our lovely Social worker put us in touch with the wonderful Kene Madueke Foundation, who very kindly offered to fund some English tuition for Eleanor. We are so incredibly grateful for this help & support & we can’t thank you enough. Michael, Eleanor’s tutor has just been fantastic & hopefully she will be able to achieve her dream of gaining this qualification.
Thank you so so much.
Sarah & Eleanor Johnson
